WhatsApp keeps working regularly on several updates to provide a better interface to users. The instant messaging app is now rolling out the ability to view a list of past participants within our groups, reported WABetaInfo, the website that tracks the latest WhatsApp updates.

The new option is visible within group info. The website also shared a screenshot of the new feature. The update is being released to some beta testers that install the latest beta version of the app through from TestFlight.

“There is a new option at the end of the list of group participants that lets us discover people who left or were removed in the last 60 days,” WABetaInfo wrote. The feature is available to all and is not only limited only to group admins. Every group member can open the past participant section.

“It is true that people who left or were removed from the group are listed in this section, but this event is no longer visible within the chat,” the website reported. Notably, it is visible to only group admins in the chat due to moderation reasons. The feature is currently released to only a few beta users. The “past participants” update will be released to more beta users in the coming weeks.

The Meta-owned app also released a new version of the context menu. The feature will be available after installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows from the Microsoft Store. Last week, WhatsApp has released a feature that allows group admins to delete any message for everyone.
